Youth are a vital part of the ministry here at Langley Christian Church. We strive to CONNECT students to a real and active relationship with Jesus Christ. This is first done through the example of our adult workers whose desire it is to see this generation live for Christ. We connect youth with each other through hanging out, conventions, retreats, camps, and other activities. We EQUIP our youth with the tools needed to live a life which glorifies God through Bible exploration and worship times. Our goal is to send out youth who are ready to SERVE God and their community.
Proverbs 22:6 (NASB) says this: “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” At LCC, we take this to heart, and teach our children the stories of the Bible and about Christian life in a way they can understand and apply. We strive to create an atmosphere that is fun, safe, and conducive for learning.
Our Kids Min is currently going through Dig-In: Digging into the Life of Jesus. This series is an in-depth, year-long look at the life and ministry of Christ, leading through His message of grace, hope, and redemption! Dig-In is taught throughout our Kids Min, so what your child learns during Sunday School, Children's Church, and Wednesday night will all flow together!
Our teen ministry is a place where middle school and high school students are encouraged to grow in a relationship with God. We strive to teach our teens to see their identity in Christ and how He can change their lives. We place a high value on developing positive relationships and serving others, and the fun that takes place in doing both! We believe if you are looking for a place to connect and grow you can find it here within our Student Ministry.
The goal of the student ministry at LCC, called Fusion, is to get the students to have a personal relationship with Christ by fusing their lives with God, the Bible, and other people. This is accomplished through Sunday School classes, Wednesday night Bible studies, and worship on Sunday mornings, as well mission opportunities.
Our Sunday School is a laid back time to catch up with each other, play games, and share devotional thoughts on current issues facing teens. Our Wednesday Night studies are deeper, exploring the Biblical truth behind issues of society, faith, and everyday life. Our current series, How to Ruin Your Life, takes a look at how to have wisdom in every aspect of life- and how not having can ruin your life!
