In a world that seems to be full of conditional love, we should give thanks to God that His love endures and is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
Many people are consumed today with grumbling and complaining. Whether it is about each other, politics, weather, traffic, etc., fussing about things seems to just be a part of life. However, Paul encourages us, as God’s children following the example of Christ, that our lives should be full of gladness and rejoicing!
Paul encourages us to serve diligently and to persevere. We can do this when we realize it is God working through us to fulfill His purpose. We are part of His plan, which will not fail.
As we continue to look at Paul’s encouragement to have the heart of a servant, to follow Christ’s example, this we discuss humility in obedience.
This week we continue exploring the attitude behind living a life worthy of the gospel of Christ. We see a contrast between selfish ambition and humility as we serve and love one another. When we trust God’s Word we are free to look towards the interests of others.
