Derek Robinson
I was born in Indiana, raised in Ohio and led to Virginia. I am blessed with my amazing wife, Christy, two great sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. I grew up a preacher’s kid attending a church near Cincinnati where my dad served as Youth Minister. After high school, I began doing trade work, beginning as a painter. I transitioned to carpentry where I worked as a journeyman carpenter through the union. Over the years, this led to running my own home repair business.
I began attending Langley in the fall of 2000 and became active in serving and teaching with the youth group. During this time I was blessed to be a part of many youth events, retreats, camps, and mission trips. Through the years at LCC, I was also blessed to serve as a deacon and an Elder. In growing under some great men of God, I was ordained as a minister in the fall of 2009, after which I began serving as Langley’s full-time Youth Minister. In the fall of 2015, I transitioned to the role of Lead Minister for Langley.
It is a tremendous blessing to grow and serve our LORD with His Family here at Langley Christian Church.
